Services

Narrow Path Publishing offers several services in addition to book publishing.

Proofreading and Editing

Our mission is to inspire writers to be the best they can be and to gain confidence in their writing skills. We offer the following services:

  • Proofreading — $30 base fee plus $5 per page. This is our basic service, and only covers reading for grammatical and typographical errors. The writer will receive a marked-up copy of their manuscript with all needed changes.
  • Line-by-line editing — $50 base fee plus $10 per page. At this service level, the writer receives a marked-up copy with typographical errors highlighted and suggested changes (additions, deletions, etc.) indicated.
  • Critique — $45 (1–20 pages), $70 (21–75 pages), $90 (76–100 pages). After 100 pages there is a $5 fee added for each additional 20 pages. So a 250 manuscript would cost $127.50 ($90 for the first 100 pages, plus $5 for each 20 pages thereafter). A critique is a summary of my opinion of the work and how it could be made better and stronger. It does not include line-by-line editing or proofreading.

  • Proofreading or line-by-line editing with critique — $35 base fee plus $9 per page

Stephanie Silberstein is an editor, proofreader, and published author. Her first self–published novel, Winter’s Silence, was released to the public in 2008; she is working on a second independently published project, due out in late 2010. In addition to writing fiction and non–fiction with a soul, Ms. Silberstein helps aspiring writers discover their talents via writer’s groups and private book coaching.

Face–to–face class

Fee: $160

Meets: Wednesdays — January 6 through February 24, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM

Online class

Fee: $100

Meets: Tuesdays — January 5 through February 23, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM

Writer's Group

In addition to the above services, we are offering a writer's group. The group meets every other Wednesday and follows the Amherst Writer’s Method. It is meant for writers who want to improve their confidence level. The group writes to a prompt, after which writers are given positive feedback. Writers are also encouraged to bring works in progress to share. The group costs $20/session. You can pay for 2-4 sessions in advance if you would like. Please contact us for more details.
